Overview
This co-op sits in Anduril’s maritime digital production group, which builds the software that runs shipyard factories: live machine data, scheduling, and the geometry engine that decides the order parts can be assembled. The engine reads a 3D CAD assembly, finds contacts, builds blocking graphs, and searches for collision-free removal directions.
Your project is on that engine—making search faster without changing answers, building a regression benchmark, or tightening the geometry tests—in modern C++ with a named engineer beside you. The output is production scheduling input, not a slide deck.
Eligibility / Key Requirements

- Returning to school for at least one term after the co-op
- Able to complete the co-op in person in Santa Ana, CA in winter 2027
- Must be a U.S. person because the work can involve export-controlled information
