Overview
Jane Street’s SWE internship is built to feel like full-time work plus a deep educational experience. You’re paired with full-time engineers who mentor you on projects their teams actually need — software intended to reach production.
You’ll learn how Jane Street uses OCaml day to day (and their internal libraries/tools). Depending on the team, you may also write Python. Project scope spans high-performance trading systems, programming language design, and everything in between. Finance background is not required.

- Background: No prior finance, OCaml, or functional programming required — they care more about how you think and learn.
- What you’ll do: Ship mentored production software; learn OCaml + Jane Street’s systems; possibly Python; tackle problems from trading infra to PL design.
