Overview :
Meta is inviting applications to hire Business Engineer Intern, Interested candidates can apply.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience coding in an industry-standard language (e.g. Java, Python, C++, Objective-C, JavaScript)
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience contributing to open source projects, shared code repositories, and/or personal projects
- Demonstrated software engineering experience from a previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications
- Intent to return to a degree program after the completion of the internship/co-op
Responsibilities :
- Builds new products and improves existing ones in collaboration with Meta product engineering teams to meet business needs
- Actively seek out and apply knowledge of products, technologies, and business to build solutions to solve problems at scale
- Independently break down coding projects into tasks and partner with all applicable teams and partners to meet pre-established goals
- Ship and launch production-level code in manageable pieces, with relevant descriptions, test plans, documentation, unit integration tests
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback while quickly actioning feedback from code reviews conducted on your code
- Maintain relationships with partner teams and clients (internal and external) and present technical opportunities in a consulting capacity
