Overview:

Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Jaipur is inviting applications for a Workshop on LaTex: A Tool for Scientific Writing. Interested ones can apply. This workshop will include hands-on lab sessions for the participants to use LaTex.

 

 

Objectives:

• The workshop is designed for understanding and implementing LaTex a scientific tool for effective technical writing.

• LaTex is a powerful typesetting tool trusted by academics, researchers, publishers, and professionals worldwide.

• The primary scope of this workshop is to provide exposure to LaTeX, a typographic software for the authors to prepare high-quality technical reports and research manuscripts, especially the ones that involve extensive use of mathematical equations, symbols, tables, figures, and bibliography management.

 

 

Course Contents:

• Introduction about LaTex

• Document Structure and Package

• Text Formatting, Lists – Bullets and Numbering

• Sectioning and Chapters

• Mathematical Typeset

• Algorithm Writing

• Alignment and New Environment

• Table, CSV File Handling

• Images, Bibliography, and Citation

• Report / Thesis, Journal Class, Beamer Modern CV writing.

• Hands-on LaTex.

1. After fee submission, the applicant must register themselves by submitting details on Google Form Link

2. Further details for the workshop and instructions for filling out the form may be found on the Raman Lab Website.

3. The applicant may also mail the filled registration form (given below) with the appropriate requirements to the address of correspondence mentioned.

4. All registration forms must be received by 09 Feb 2024. The registration fee is non-refundable.

5. The selection for the workshop will be on a ‘first come first served’ basis. The confirmation of the selection to attend the course will be emailed by the mentioned date.
