Overview
Cyvl turns street-level sensor capture into the map layers cities use for roads, sidewalks, and pavement. The Data Operations intern owns pieces of that pipeline: run a customer delivery end to end, catch bad data before it ships, and write the scripts that make the next delivery faster.
Day to day that means Python transforms, automatic QC checks, and digging into stalled AWS jobs with engineering and customer success.
Eligibility / Key Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in Python for reading, transforming, and validating data
- Comfortable in a terminal with version control
- Available full time for 10–12 weeks in Summer 2027 in the Somerville office
- Preferred: GIS tools, AWS, SQL, or geospatial Python (geopandas, shapely)
