IIT Kharagpur is organizing a Short Term course on Manufacturing and Mechanics of Composites.
Syllabus:
- Day 1 - 3 Introduction to Composites; Composites 4.0; Manufacturing of Fibres
- Day 4 - 6 Micromechanics of UD and Short Fibre Composites; Manufacturing of Fabrics
- Day 7 - 9 PMC, MMC; Meso-mechanics incl. Classical Lamination Theory
- Day 10 - 12 CMC; Nanocomposites; Mean-field Homogenisation. incl. theory behind software
- Day 13 - 15 Bio-composites; Component Level Simulation; Testing of Composites
Assessment End of each week, Duration: 1 hr
