Overview:
Central Library, IIT Bhubaneswar is inviting applications for a workshop on Open-Source Library Management Software. Interested ones can apply. This 5-day training program aims to provide hands-on training to the participants with adequate practical knowledge which will enable them to set up library automation using popular open-source library management software Koha and develop a digital repository using popular open-source digital library software Dspace.
Objectives:

To introduce the Open Source Operating System as well as Open Source Software to the LIS professionals.

To induce a "do-it-yourself" attitude in participants, to prevent commercial exploitation by private service providers of open-source software.

To acquaint the participants with installing Open-Source Library Management System Software (Koha) and Digital Library Software (DSpace).

To provide extensive hands-on training to the participants to enable them to work independently.
Target Participants:
Library and IT professionals, Students of LIS, Research Scholars, LIS, and Computer Science professionals can attend this training program, Registration is limited to 30 participants only.

Rs. 7000 includes WOrkshop Kit, Lundh, Dinner, and high tea during the sessions.

Travel & Accommodation:
