Overview:
- IIT Palakkad is looking for individuals with an established record of independent, high-quality research and commitment to teaching and research for faculty positions at the level of (as per the 7th Central Pay Commission).
Positions and Stipend:
- Associate Professor: Level 13A2 (Rs.139600 - Rs.211300)
- Assistant Professor Gr. I: Level 12 (Rs.101500 -Rs.167400)
- Assistant Professor Gr. II: Level 10 (Rs. 57,700- Rs. 98200) Level 11 (Rs. 68900 - Rs. 117200)

Qualification:
- Ph.D., with first-class or equivalent at the preceding (penultimate) degree in the appropriate branch with consistently good academic record throughout.
EXPERIENCE:
1. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR At least 6 years industrial / research / teaching experience (post Ph.D.) of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor / Senior Scientific Officer / Senior Design Engineer.
2. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR GR.I At least 3 years industrial / research / teaching experience excluding, however, the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.
3. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR GR.II (Level 10/Level 11) Those with industrial / research/teaching experience of less than three years (post Ph.D.) will be considered only for these posts.
Selection Procedure:

Important Points:
- For the post of Assistant Professor, the candidates should be below 40 years of age and preferably below 35 years.
- For the post of Associate Professor, the candidates should be below 45 years of age and preferably below 40 years.
