NIT Surat is organizing the 27th International Symposium on Frontiers of Research in Speech and Music (FRSM - 2023).
The International Symposium on Frontiers of Research in Speech and Music (FRSM) is organized in different parts of India every year since 1990. Till date, these symposiums were held at Kolkata, Santiniketan, New Delhi, Varanasi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Lucknow, Mysore, Gwalior, Bhubaneswar, Annamalai, Thiruvananthapuram, Baripada, silcher, Rourkela and Pune to promote research interest in these areas to researchers working in different fields like physics, mathematics, musicology, Speech Science, Linguistics, electronics, and computer science.
The topics of Interest (not limited):
The special theme for the symposium is “Speech, Music and Applications”. The Speech Track covers modeling, computation, and cognitive aspects of Speech. The Music Track covers signal, computation as well as cognitive aspects of music. Application of both speech and music are covered in the Application Track. Speech Analysis, Speech Perception Speech production, Acoustic Phonetics, Spoken Language Processing, Phonetic/Phonological Systems for Indian Languages, Speech Prosody and Labelling, Speech processing and applications, Emotion in speech and music, application of speech and music technology in Education, Music Modelling, Acoustics, Recognition, Analysis, Synthesis, Retrieval, Structure analysis, pedagogy, Transcription, Production and composition tools, and Psychology, Optical music recognition, Semantic music technologies, Music and sound data mining, Comparison, classification, and modeling of sound and music, Cooperative music networks, Structuring of audio data, New methods for music representation and visualization, Digital music libraries, Music recommender system, Raag analysis, Music classification, Content-based music retrieval, Virtual reality in speech and Music, Augmented reality and human-computer interaction, Auditory perception and cognition, Creativity, ethnomusicology. Origins and Evolution of Music, Emotion, Music Therapy, and Signal Processing & Applications in these areas.
Paper Submission:
Authors are invited to submit their original research work, not yet published or submitted for publication anywhere else. The papers will be peer-reviewed for determining the originality, technical and/or research content, correctness, contribution, and readability. However, only accepted, registered, and presented papers will be published in the reputed Scopus proceedings.
