Overview
Deliveroo is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 in London, embedded in a production engineering squad building real features for a global three-sided marketplace. You'll ship code alongside full-time engineers, use GenAI-assisted tooling, and present your summer project to engineering leadership.
Key Requirements & Critical Rules
- Degree: Pursuing B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent).
- Graduation: Between Autumn 2026 and Summer 2027.
- Availability: In person at London Cannon Bridge House for the full Summer 2026 programme.
- Work mode: Hybrid — typically 3 days/week in office.
- Core skills: Algorithms, data structures, clean code, Git, and unit testing.
- Web development: Experience building web apps in any language; interest in Go, Ruby/Rails, Python, Scala, or Rust.
- Databases: Practical experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS, or SQL.
- Nice to have: Prior SWE internship, hackathons, open source, service-oriented architecture, APIs, CI/monitoring.
