Overview
Scale AI’s Machine Learning Research team builds foundations for frontier AI — generative models, reinforcement learning, post-training, scalable oversight, synthetic data, and evaluation science. As a Summer 2027 intern you work on production ML and research problems with mentorship from leading researchers, owning work that ships or publishes rather than throwaway side projects.
Eligibility / Key Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD focused on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or NLP (graduation Fall 2026 or later typical)
- Strong foundations in modern ML / deep learning / NLP
- Comfort owning a research or production ML project end-to-end
- Interest in frontier model evaluation, RL, oversight, or synthetic data
