Overview
WEX’s paid Summer Internship Program includes a Backend Software Engineer Intern track focused on cloud security and AI. You’ll write C#/.NET services, wire auth (OAuth/OIDC/JWT/Passkeys), containerize with Docker, and explore skill-based AI agents on AWS — with mentorship and weekly learning across a ~13-week remote-friendly program.
Eligibility / Key Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor’s in CS, ML, Software Engineering, or related; at least sophomore year by internship start
- Strong C#, .NET, and OOP fundamentals
- Foundational understanding of identity/security protocols (OAuth, OIDC, JWT, or Passkeys)
- Exposure to AWS, Docker, and GitHub CI/CD
- Interest in AI agents / Python scripting a plus
