Overview
Figma’s Summer 2027 SWE internship embeds you on a small engineering team shipping product or platform work that real designers and builders use. You share Product, Backend/Infrastructure, Security, or Open interests up front so recruiting can match you to a strong fit.
Past intern projects have landed in FigJam diagramming, smart selection, shared fonts, and similar customer-facing improvements. Expect mentor pairing, cross-functional collaboration with PMs and designers, code review, and a goal to ship by the end of the internship.
Eligibility / Key Requirements
- Clean code in at least one general-purpose language (e.g. C++, JavaScript, Python, Java) with solid data structures and algorithms
- Experience solving technical problems via school, work, or personal projects
- Curiosity about how systems are designed — from infrastructure to UI
- Strong communication: ask questions, collaborate, take feedback, and grow
- Plus (not required): experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
