As a Software Engineer, you will Design, Build, and contribute to delivering and maintaining software applications & services. You will work in the areas of machine, cloud, platform, and application. You will manage the software life cycle, including requirement analysis, documentation/procedures, and implementation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers, and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions
- Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/Extreme Programming (XP), CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
- Write codes that meet standards and deliver desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
- Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
- Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using the language of choice
- Continuously expand technical knowledge, keep up with emerging software technologies and apply them to Molecular Imaging and computerized tomography (MICT) software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in computing or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with basic experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on professional experience in Software Development OR Master’s degree with 2 years of experience in Software Development
- Core Java/C++ programming experience with experience during a multi-threaded development
Desired Skills:
- Experience with front-end technologies like Javascript, HTML5, CSS, AngularJS, BackboneJS, EmberJS, KnockoutJS
- Aware of methods and practices like Lean/Agile/XP, etc.
- Prior work experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile. Aware of and ready to apply continuous integration (CI).
- General understanding of the impacts of technology choice on the software development life cycle
