Overview:

IIT Kanpur is inviting applications for an Introduction to Dynamics and Control of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Course. Interested ones can apply. IIT Kanpur is one of the resource centers identified under the project ‘Capacity Building for Human Resource Development in Unmanned Aircraft System (Drone and related Technology)’ funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

Objectives:

Ideal introductory course to give a complete overview of UAV / drone technology dynamics and its control design for instructors looking to impart skills in theory and practice related to UAV, navigation, operation, and control.

Introduction to unmanned aerial systems
Dynamics of a fixed-wing UAV
Dynamics of a rotary wing UAV
Dynamics of multirotor UAV
Control design for fixed-wing UAV
Control design for rotary wing UAV
Control design for multirotor UAV
Introduction to open-source simulation platforms
Open-source autopilot architecture
Hands-on training for control realization in autopilots
Flight demonstrations

Registration Fees:

The nominations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and the first 20 nominations (those from participating institutes) are Free (only for faculty and Ph.D. scholars).
