Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, NIT Meghalaya is organizing a two day National Conference on Disability Studies: Theory and Practice (COIN-2023) from 18th & 19th November 2023. Interested ones can apply.
Eligibility:
PG students, researchers, academicians, social scientists, and independent scholars to submit abstracts which explore the different dimensions dealing with various aspects of Disability Studies by giving it an interdisciplinary approach.

Disability: theories and concepts; forms of disability; language of disability; disability movements; ableism and disableism; disability studies: the traditional and the contemporary; interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, transdisciplinary approaches to disability studies; disability as a cultural, social, and political phenomenon; policies and laws for the disabled; disability and diversity; care-giving and care-receiving; mental wellbeing of the disabled; disability therapies; empowerment of the disabled; disability and rehabilitation; disability and stigma; disability and the ethics; disability and sports; disability and everyday life; disability and the pandemics (especially COVID-19); disability and the society; disability and mass media; disability and medical sciences; disability and health technologies; disability and education; disability and NEP-2020; special education; assistive technology and devices; inclusive education; disability and the fiction; disability and the non-fiction; disability and employment; disability and the workplace; accessible design and architecture; innovations for the disabled; role of engineers and scientists for the disabled; any other related themes.

Registration fee for all delegates and listeners is Rs. 2,000/- only. (Rs. 1,500/- only for online presenters/listeners).
