NIT Surathkal | International Conference on MFGF: TDSP, Apply by 12th January 2024!

Department of Mining Engineering, NIT Surathkal is inviting applications for the International Conference on Mining for a Greener Future: Technological Developments and Sustainable Practices. Interested ones can apply. It is proposed to bring the world’s leading experts in the wider domain of earth resource engineering under one common platform through this international conference, which aims to deliberate on a host of topics, that are of critical importance.

One of the key drivers behind this shift is the integration of advanced technologies in the mining process. Automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics have revolutionized the functioning of many industries, making operations more efficient and environmentally friendly. Autonomous vehicles and drones now navigate mine sites, reducing fuel consumption and improving safety. Sophisticated sensors and monitoring systems provide real-time data on energy usage, water consumption, and air quality, enabling proactive decision-making to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste.
