Overview
NVIDIA’s Applied Deep Learning Research team (known for DLSS) is hiring a research scientist to push generative AI into real-time graphics and games: neural rendering, image/video generation, world models, AI-driven characters, and LLM-powered gameplay.
The bar is step-change user experience, not incremental benchmarks. You train large models on big GPU clusters, prototype in real-time engines, and work with product, driver, and hardware teams so ideas ship to players.
Eligibility / Key Requirements
- Pursuing or holding a PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related (or equivalent experience)
- Deep learning experience in image/video generation, graphics, computer vision, or related, with solid DL fundamentals
- Hands-on training of large models on multi-GPU clusters and robust distributed training pipelines; PyTorch required
- Plus: GPU architecture, CUDA, efficiency techniques, rendering/game engines, generative models or neural rendering
- Track record of impactful research or shipped ideas, plus strong communication
