Your Mission at Tesla
This team focuses on enhancing productivity and minimizing human error. You will be designing, developing, and deploying critical tools and services that augment the engineering process.
You will work closely with component owners across Tesla, using **code generation tools** and infrastructure to describe how complex control systems communicate. This is a role for someone who loves thinking about the "big picture" of a massive software ecosystem.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Interfacing with Leaders: Work with key leads across all products: Vehicle, Robot, Energy, Autopilot, and Powertrain Controls.
- Embedded Code Generation: Develop highly efficient code generators and integrate them with microcontrollers for final hardware.
- Scaling Tooling: Advance developer tools to keep up with the increasing complexity and variants of Tesla products.
- Process Optimization: Design and deploy services that improve organizational efficiency and reduce engineering costs.
The Profile We Need:
This role requires significant autonomy and the resourcefulness to drive solutions from initial, ambiguous requirements.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Graduation Date: December 2026 – December 2027. (Must be actively enrolled students.)
- Technical: Solid experience with **Rust** and **Python**.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design principles (scalability, maintainability).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
