Overview:
Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad is inviting applications for Support Staffs for Studio & Smart Classroom, and Systems purely on a contractual basis, for one year initially and renewable on a year-to-year basis till the requirement of the Institute, but not more than a period of five years, subject to the satisfactory performance which is to be evaluated by the Competent Authority.

Job Description:
(A) Job Description for Studio and Smart Classroom Support Staff (On Contract)
- For upkeeping and day-to-day activities of Studios and Smart Classrooms.
- Monitor and manage encoder, decoder, streaming server/VOD, and recording devices
- Online editing and postproduction of lecture contents
- To manage VC devices of different brands like Panasonic, Polyc, om, Logitech, etc.
- To run the different online conferencing software likmeetsom, Google meets Skype, Microsoft Teams, Bharat, VC, Cisco Webex, etc.
- To support proper connectivity of communication on devices with an online virtual classroom system and sharing of the presentations/white content to all display panels in smart classrooms.
- To the support faculties for the operation of digitate l writing board with the setting of a normal whiteboard or blackbocolorreen board and color selection, annotation of PDF Documents, exportiUpkeepinging, etc.
- Upkeeping of Computer Labs for classes, online, examinations, placements, etc.
- Live to a stream of institute events.
- Installation and monitoring of IP camera, Video Management Software (VMS), etc.
(B) Job Description for Systems Support Staff (On Contract)
- Installation and Updating of different types of operating systems, virtualization tools, and software.
- Installation of all types of printers like DOT Matrix, Passbook Printer, LaserJet Printer.
- Coordinate depart the ents for the installation of any application software.
- Configure Active Directories, group policy security, and user management.
- Maintain the server utilization, health & performance.
- Creating Software images for endpoint devices & deploy the desktop image to the end-user.
- Data recovery from malfunctioned hard drives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve booting errors and performance issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware components like Motherboard, Hard disk, Processor, RAM, LCD, VGA, LAN, and sound cards, etc in Desktops/Laptops/Workstations.
- Repairing failures in hardware like logic cards, sensors, motors, Gear, rollers, etc.
- Maintaining the log files regularly.
- Connect the systems in the network & share files.
Salary:
Consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 30,000.
