Overview:
Applications are invited from the interested candidates for the post of JRF positions to work on the R&D project titled “Wind Energy Harvesting from Vortex-Induced Vibration of Multiple Cylinders using Novel Multiple Piezoelectric Strips Arrangement”, sanctioned under the Start-up Research Grant (SRG) scheme by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Dept. of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India.
Job Description:
- Title of the project: Wind Energy Harvesting from Vortex-Induced Vibration of Multiple Cylinders using Novel Multiple Piezoelectric Strips Arrangement.
- No. of posts: 01 (One)
- Duration of the project: 24 months (21 Jan 2022 to 20 Jan 2024).
- Age Limit: 30 Years.
- Duration of the position: The position will be offered initially for a period of one year and the same may be extended up to two years subject to satisfactory performance or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier.
Qualification:
Essential Qualification:
M.Tech./M.E. and B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related branches of Mechanical Engineering with NET/GATE and at least 6.5 CGPA or 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university in a full-time program.
Desirable Qualification:
Master's Degree in Thermal/Manufacturing/Mechatronics with relevant research experience in the field of renewable energy. Strong knowledge in the following areas;
- Any CFD tool e.g. ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, AM, etc. for numerical analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant tools such as LabVIEW, ARDUINO Code, MATLAB, PCB Fabrica, in, etc. will be highly encouraged
- Handling of Data Acquisition System (DAQ)
- Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits and components
Salary/Emoluments:
Rs. 31,000/- per month + Other allowances as per Institute norms
