03 years or till Completion of the Project, whichever is earlier (extension of selected candidates would be based on performance review every 12 months).

Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. / M.Tech degree in Mathematics or Mathematics and Computing or equivalent with first class or equivalent. Candidates with a valid GATE/NET or equivalent examination may be given preference.
Desirable Experience:
Research/Project experience in the field of Wave Propagation/Solid Mechanics/Elastodynamics/Theoretical Seismology.
Salary:
Rs. 31000/- P.M. for the first two years and Rs. 35000/- P.M. for the third year (Revised salary may be given subject to the sanction of funds from the sponsored agency). Contingency: Rs. 10,000/- per year. HRA as per NBHM norms may be provided.

- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview and/or joining the post. All the terms & conditions for this recruitment will be as per the guidelines of the sponsoring agency and NIT Silchar.
- Interview date and mode (online/offline) along with other details will be duly notified through email.
- Employed candidates are to submit a no-objection certificate from his/her employer at the time of the interview.
- The Institute has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview based on screening. No candidate may be recruited if suitable candidates are not found.
- Selected candidates shall have to sign an agreement at the time of joining.
