Overview:

NIT Silchar is inviting applications for The posts of Senior Research Assistant (SRA) and Junior Research Assistant (JRA). Interested candidates can apply.

Title of the project:

ISHAAN: A system for Bidirectional Machine Translation between 1) English and Assamese, Bodo, Manipuri, and Nepali 2) Manipuri and Hindi 3) Assamese and Bodo.

No. of posts:

(01) SRA and (01) JRA

Duration:

01 years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier (extension based on performance review every 12 months).

Age Limit:

Maximum 35 years for JRA and 38 years for SRA.

Relaxation as per Govt. of India Rules.

Minimum Qualification:

For SRA:

Ph.D. in Computer Science or ME/MTech in CSE/IT with a minimum of 2 years of experience working on technical projects.

For JRA:

ME/MTech in CSE/IT.

Desirable Experience:

Machine Learning and NLP with strong coding skills using Python and libraries.

Salary:

For SRA: Rs. 60,000 per month

For JRA: Rs. 40,000 per month

Note:

Employed candidates are to submit a no-objectionificate from his/her employer at the time of the interview.
The Institute has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview based on screening. No candidate may be recruited if suitable candidates are not found.
