Overview:

Google is inviting applications for Google Cloud Launchpad for Women. Interested ones can apply. A Google Cloud training & certification journey, exclusively designed for women. Google Cloud training & certification journey and alongside a supportive network of inspiring women, gain the skills and knowledge needed to drive digital transformation in your organization.

 

 

Aim:

The Google Cloud LaunchPad for Women event is a virtual event spanning two days, and designed to connect women from diverse backgrounds and skill levels and provide them with a valuable opportunity to develop the skills needed to get their first certification in Google Cloud.

 

 

Objectives:

The content delivered throughout this journey is designed for individuals across all functional and technical roles. Upon completion of this journey, you will be able to:

• Confidently explain the fundamentals of cloud computing.

• Identify the Google Cloud products and solutions that can power your digital transformation strategy.

• Articulate how cloud technology and data can be harnessed to drive innovation within your organization.

• Explain how Google Cloud can modernize your infrastructure and applications.

• Describe the key factors that contribute to successful cloud operations and security.

• Receive an opportunity to achieve an industry-recognized certification in Google Cloud.

Note: Not available for employees of Government or Public Sector entities.

 

 

Program Journey:

1. Attend the 2-day virtual 'Cloud Digital Leader' training event March 7-8, 2024 - This event is hosted by ROI Training, a Google Cloud authorized training partner. The agenda includes a ‘Lunch & Learn’ focused on generative AI and a thought-provoking panel discussion with female leaders from Google Cloud. 

2. Receive a complimentary Cloud Digital Leader certification exam voucher - After the 2-day training event, you will receive a complimentary exam voucher which retails for USD 99.

3. Join a certification exam prep office hours session - You will have the option to attend an exam prep session on March 15, 2024, and/or March 22, 2024. 

4. Get certified - Register and complete the 'Cloud Digital Leader' certification exam between March 18 - April 1, 2024. The first 500 to pass the exam will receive a USD 50 voucher to the Google Store. 

Note: Each certification voucher is valid for a year from issuance. If you take the certification after April 1, 2024, you are not eligible to receive a swag voucher.

Requirements:

• For all individuals, by participating in the Google Cloud Launchpad for Women program, you agree that any materials provided to you (such as slide decks) are for your use only and that you will not distribute those materials to any person outside of your organization. Between you and Google, Google owns all rights to materials and content provided to you.

• For all training, sessions, and materials delivered remotely, you are responsible for ensuring that you have access to appropriate equipment, facilities, and networks necessary to attend, and to access virtual materials.

• Google will deliver the training, events, and any virtual materials online through Google and/or third-party platforms or communication tools. Your use of these platforms or tools may be subject to separate terms of use.

• Google is not responsible for your inability to access virtual workshops or materials due to violating such terms.

• Attendance: Certification vouchers will only be available for participants who attend the virtual Cloud Digital Leader training. 

 

 

Cloud Digital Leader Certification Exam Voucher:

• The Cloud Digital Leader certification is designed for business practitioners in non-technical roles within organizations implementing GCP. This certification provides a high-level introduction to core Google Cloud Platform technology and its business use cases. Training is recommended, but not required to attempt the certification.

• Test takers must both schedule and take the applicable exam within one year of the date of voucher issuance by Google, at which time the voucher will expire.

• Once redeemed for a scheduled exam, a voucher cannot be reissued or reused.

• A fee will be charged for rescheduling less than 72 hours before the scheduled exam time for an onsite (test center) exam, or 24 hours before the scheduled exam time for an online exam.

• A voucher is considered consumed (i.e. no longer valid) once the test taker takes (or does not show up for or take) the scheduled exam for which the voucher was redeemed.
