Overview:
Department of Chemistry, NIT Jalandhar is inviting applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow. Interested ones can apply. The project involves the fabrication of a special wetting surface, drop motility, and an understanding self-cleaning ability of the fabricated surfaces.
Title of Project:
Smart Wettability Surfaces Instigating Spontaneous Autonomous Contact Line Motion for Droplet-Based Sensing and Self-Cleaning Surfaces.
Position:
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (01)
Eligibility:
GATE/NET qualified candidates with an M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks (or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale) in the qualifying examination.
Fellowship:
Rs. 31,000/- for the first two years and 35,000/- for the third year + HRA as per institute/project norms.
Age limit:
upper age limit is 28 years as of the date of selection (relaxable as per DST-SERB and GOI norms)
Duration:
3 years (till 18-Jan-2027). The appointment shall be co-terminus with the project.
Desirable Qualification/Experiences:
A candidate from a relevant background will be preferred.
