Overview: National Institute of Technology Karnataka, is organizing a Two Days Workshop on “Fundamentals of Intellectual Property”. Intellectual Property plays a key role in today’s innovation-driven economy. Researchers and entrepreneurs alike can obtain significant benefits from a deeper understanding of its broad spectrum and intricacies. The proposed workshop focuses on best practices in IPR.
Date of Workshop: 18th and 19th February 2021
Topics To Be Covered:
- Intellectual Property Rights in Academic Research.
- Identification of Patentability of Inventions.
- Drafting and Patent filing procedure and prior art search.
- IP Commercialization and licensing.
- Strategic use of patents for Start-up growth and Government Initiatives.
- Cases related to Patent infringement.
How To Apply: A duly filled in registration form in the prescribed format along with a screen shot of transaction details should be uploaded in the google form on or before the last date.
Registration Fees:
- Faculty/Industry persons- Rs.350/-
- Students(UG/PG/PhD)- Rs.200/-

- This workshop will be in virtual mode, the coordinator(s) will send the details for joining the online sessions to the email ID of the registered participants.
- E-Certificate will be provided to the participant with no absenteeism.
