IIT Gandhinagar- Early-Career Fellowship Programme [Apply by 7th June 2021]

Overview:

• The IIT Gandhinagar Early-Career Fellowship (IITGN-ECF) offers young scholars the chance to figure on exciting challenges or research problems during a creative and interdisciplinary ecosystem.
• Fellows within the program will have access not only to their assigned department but to the whole research infrastructure and facility of the Institute, which prizes interdisciplinarity.
• The Early-Career Fellowship Programme demands an impressive academic diary with limited opportunities for the year 2021.
• The selected candidates will work with an IITGN academician on a well-identified research problem that would cause a big scholarly contribution through scholarly publications.

 

 

Responsibility:

• Fellows are expected to dedicate themselves to figure full-time towards their research goals together with a school member, and that they should aspire to hitch another top academic institution after completing their tenure.
• The fellow will work on selected scientific research together with a school member besides engaging in other scholarly activities.
• Fellows may be permitted to engage in teaching a course or guiding undergraduate & postgraduate students after assessing their research outcome.

 

 

Fellowship:

• Fellows will receive Rs. 1,00,000 per month (Rs. 90,000/- plus Rs 10,000/- HRA).
• A professional development grant of up to Rs. 2.00 Lakh per annum are going to be made available that also supports international visit attend conferences, workshops, training programs, etc.
• Fellows can submit individual proposals for support to conduct seminars, workshops, and other scholarly activities.
• The Fellowship is going to be awarded initially for one year.

 

 

Application/Selection:

• As a part of the appliance process, the applicants will develop a search proposal during a prescribed format together with a school member at IITGN.
• The applicant also will submit a private statement describing their aspirations and therefore the expectations from themselves during this Fellowship.
• The candidates from IIT Gandhinagar can apply to figure with a school collaborator aside from their Ph.D. supervisor on a topic of their mutual interest.
• The applicant will provide names and get in touch with information of THREE referees who can objectively assess the candidate's potential towards this Fellowship.
• Applicants are liberal to apply to ANY discipline and may submit just one application.
• Faculty members may endorse more than one proposal.
