Council for insurance ombudsmen vacancies

Advt.No.1/2021, dated 8th April, 2021 Applications are invited for appointment as Insurance Ombudsman, for one Insurance Ombudsman position each at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi and Mumbai, from persons who fulfill the following eligibility criteria as on the last date specified for receipt of applications: Age: Not less than fifty-five years but not exceeding sixty-five years Experience: (a) The applicant should be or have been a member of an all-India service or a civil service of the Union and should have held the post of joint Secretary o equivalent to the Government of India. Or (b) The applicant should have served for at least twenty-five years in the insurance industry and should have held a post not less than one level below that of director of board. Remuneration: Fixed pay of Rs. 2,25,000 per month, reduced by the amount of an pension drawn from the Central Government or a State Government Term: Three years, or till attainment of the age of sixty-eight years, whichever i earlier The procedure and selection criteria for and the terms and conditions appointment as, and the duties and functions of, Insurance Ombudsman will be as per the Insurance Ombudsman Rules, 2017, as amended from time to time () Application Form and other details are available at Applications in the Application Form, duly filled in, signed and scanned, should b sent by the applicant by email to, with th email subject reading “Application for Insurance Ombudsman”, on or before the las date (07/05/2021) for receipt of applications.
